We carried out timber-frame constructions in the northernmost town of Norway.
Building in Norway’s northernmost town means facing a challenge. The town of Kirkenes, where the polar night lasts for months and temperatures plummet far below zero, demands structures that are not only functional but also resilient to uncompromising weather. ◾️As part of this development project, we constructed six modern semi-detached houses and a small local hospital. ◾️We delivered the turnkey timber-frame project comprehensively – from design and production through to final handover. Our eco-friendly timber buildings were designed with maximum emphasis on energy efficiency and thermal comfort in Arctic conditions. ◾️The use of natural materials and advanced insulation systems ensures that even in the harsh northern climate, our modern timber-frame constructions provide a healthy and pleasant environment – for families in the residential semi-detached houses as well as for patients and staff in the hospital. ◾️We are proud that our sustainable wooden buildings have withstood one of the world’s most demanding climatic zones and contributed to the development of this unique northern community.
